Located in the heart of Hà Tây province, about half an hour by car southwest of Hà nội, the villages of Duyên Thái, Chuyên Mỹ and Phú Minh , which possess their own traditional handicrafts, are our base for just half a day trip out of Hà nội.
These villages lie along the bank of the Red River. The main river winds its way through the marshy delta to the Gulf of Tonkin. It boasts an impressive landscape with endless rice fields, ancient pagodas and a labyrinth of markets.
We depart from Hà nội for a short drive to HàTây province in the neighbourhood of Hà nội (15 km away). Upon our arrival at Duyên Thái village, home to traditional lacquer ware.
Time here can be spent wandering around traditional villages and meeting the friendly local people.
Keep traveling to really see the next villages of Phú Minh(famous for handmade shoes and leather handicraft products) and Đồng Xung( a truly Viet culture village). We navigate along the river front, through enomous rice fields and beyond.
En route, we disembark to experience traditional methods of processing noodle vermicelli and soya sauce in local homes.
Those who appreciate the sheer delight of local cuisine can settle in with a local family making Spring Rolls and other dishes.(Fishing, gardening, joy the cooking food for our dinner)

After breakfast keep driving to Perfume Pagoda:
An area holds a religious significance for the local people, being considered one of the most sacred of all sites in Vietnam.
This is a remarkable trip through three different regions of North Vietnam and offers a wonderful balance of adventure and cultural insights.
We journey from the sheer beauty of Perfume Pagoda. There is hiking, boating.
Followed by a cable car journey up to Perfume Pagoda, hidden in a cave and surrounded by stunning forests and towering mountains, Perfume Pagoda lies on top of the mountain range of Hương Sơn, and is famed for its spectacular views over the whole area.
We continue soaking up more breathtaking scenery as we hike to our waiting boat. Then we move on to Mai Châu
Mai Châu is home to White Thai and Muong ethnic minority people.
Known for their hospitality and resistance to assimilation, their indigenous and diverse cultures provide an individualism unique to others.
The rolling hills coupled with their sculpted rice terraces make an ideal place for walking around.
Here, we hike through open rice fields, pass tiny villages and meet the local farmers at work, as they plough their paddies behind water buffaloes, tend their seasonal crops or fish in the river.
Finally, we descend into a valley, home to White Thai people. We settle in with a hospitable local family in a traditional wooden house for the night. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included).
This morning we wander along a track, enjoying the stunning visual surroundings as we descend towards our waiting vehicle and journey to Moc Chau around 60 km away, where we have lunch in a local restaurant.
This is followed by our drive to Phu Yen town for the night in a hotel. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included).
Ferry or boat cross Đà River On the top area of Hòa Bình Hydro electric Dump( The biggest in Indochina region in from 1985 to 1995 with the sponser/ help from Russia for Viet Nam to rebuilt, recover cuontry after the war 1975.
(Vườn quốc gia Xuân Sơn) is a national park of Tân Sơn District, Phú Thọ Province, Vietnam. It was established on August 9, 1986 as a nature reserve and it covers an area of 150.48 square kilometres.
The park lies at the extreme south-eastern extent of the Hoang Lien Mountains, 45 kilometres south-west of the confluence of the Red River and Mã Rivers.
Finally we navigate to Trung Hà bridge cross the Red River . This is followed by our journey back to Ha Noi, arriving there at about 6pm. (Breakfast and lunch are included).

What to take:
